“The big change for us in 2010 is evolving how social media plays a role in our journalism. We no longer ghettoise it to one person, but are in the process of embedding throughout the whole team,” said Julian March, executive producer of Sky News Online, to Journalism.co.uk.

Sky News also has a dedicated Twitter correspondent as well!

It is a good idea too use social networks because sometimes the first news reports are from Twitter. For example remember the picture of the plane in the Hudson on Twitpic? Also when many eurostar trains broke before christmas news of the trains moving again was first reported on twitter, which was reported on many news networks here in the UK.

I think this is annoying as I wanted the app free. [update by Tom: Don't you see that they want more Spotify premium users, and paying is an advantage to you because you get this? Not everything in life is free!]
